Are you waiting for something in life to make yourself complete?

69 Muscle, I'll bet you dont know what your values are...from those you make goals. What do you really value in life? Sounds like to me you are not "in tune" w/yourself.

Do you know the saying "Life is a journey, not a destination"? I think this is one of those basic truths. Even when I've been completely clear on what I want in life, something changes to screw it up or make it so its not quite what I thought it was gonna be (Thus the saying "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!"). And when I've completely lost "my purpose" something else comes out of the woodwork that captures my interest.

Life is a fluid thing -- the fact that you are questioning whether or not this is all it is implies that you are not satisfied. But also consider that you if you sit around and wait for something to happen, you are giving up control of your future to chance. You are the only who can make your "life" happen -- The major % of your day may be taken up with your job, but I'm sure you have other interests or just things that you want to experience or learn about. COnsider this -- you only get one life - so if you dont' get to experience those things you wanted to, you dont' get another chance. (Thus the saying "Use it or lose it!").

The only thing I ask from myself and my life is that I have no regrets -- if I dont' take some chances to see what's what, I will never know how it would've turned out. That I would regret.

Philosophical enough for ya? Hell, I've pursued 3 completely different advanced degrees in order to work in different fields and I'm just now getting laid off from a job I didn't like anyway. I usually prefer to have a "Plan B" ready to go, but right now, this was my "Plan C" and I am only beginning to formulate a vague idea of what "Plan D" looks like. But is sure is going to be exciting figuring it out, considering that I already know "Plan C" sucked.

The secret is to never be totally content -- otherwise it gets boring.
