Are steroids worth it?

Do you think the benefits outweigh the risks?

YES

NO

This is a really cool poll. It gives results with demographics (by sex, age, race and region).

The things that make the world go around are that the whole entire population of people are diverse. If everyone enjoyed, disliked, or did the same things, this place would be boring. Everyone has their own opinions and views on all aspects of life. Most likely people on this board enjoy the recreational use of AS.

The risks can far outweigh the benefits, that's why people should really understand how to use, purchase, supplement, ect AS properly before jumping into things. People who take the time to research, ask questions, and are patient & reasonable about their usage are the ones who will benefit the most & risk the least.

Ben was on good ol' stanozolol to get the world record back in I think it was 88'.

And yeah, steroids are definitly worth it if you are willing to dedicate your life. PERIOD.

If ya want big muscles and your not gonna bust you balls to get them then get implants!

Nope, he's a Yank :) Your thinking of Donavan Baily and he kicked his ass in a race here in the Sky Dome. Go Donavan:)
No, you're thinking of Michael Johnson. Ben Johnson is Canadian, and he beat out Carl Lewis--Yank-- for the Gold Medal until it was discovered he juiced. He never won a gold and AS cost him his career and his name will always be an infamous one in the annals of Olympic history.

It was also the Canadian coache's 2nd infraction. He was banned for life. This was unfortunate because (although I don't remember his name) he was held in the highest regard among international coaches for prepping atheletes with relatively low dosages of anabolics compared to the rest of the world. His winning teams were a testament to his talent as a coach.

He produced higher calibure atheletes at lower dosages, much more efficient. Unfortunately, good ole Ben's body didn't metabolize the winstrol as was planned and he netted a positive. You'd think the yellow eyes would have given it away.

yes Ben Johnson is Canadain, too bad he got disqualified. He was actually going around high schools in TO area giving lectures about how bad steroids are..
:splat:

I think Ben used a more than just winny. If you look at footage of him when he make his record run (particularly in slow mo) he had one of the best, if not the best physiques in Olympic history. Unreal vascularity, striations, huge arms/thighs & traps/delts like a linebacker. He should of just embraced gear and became a bodybuilder. I hear his life really went sour since. Its funny, he made Carl Lewis look like a Kenyan girl marathoner standing next to him.

Reality Check.
I just wonder if you guys really think that there is some of the Olympic athlets who are "all natural"?

I believe its worth it as long as you do the gear the right way, setting it up to where your body will take as little damage as possible and achieves the maximum potential

What there is a risk?
now you tell me! i wondered why all my hair fell out and everyone calls me spotty.

Should have used that search thing everyone was going on about i suppose.

there is a risk with walking across the steet, if you know what i mean...........
you can minimize the risk with steroids, do your research and read, read, read,
if you choose to ignore the risks and go in blindly, you are the only one to blame.........;)

peace

To win in life you have to cheat a little bit! Everyone else is cheating in one way or another so you need to stay competitive! I think that 95% of elite or pro atheletes cheat in some way or another! (And that is being conservative).

Jay

Organon Cannon, I can't believe you got Ben Johnson and Michael Johnson mixed up.

Just remember - Ben was the first to run 9.79 and he did it for Canada in Seoul!

Unfortunately Carl Lewis got that gold medal.
