It's hard to find a "babelfish" equivalent for Arabic, but I dug one out once to translate what turned out to be spam (duh!) -- there was some sort of registration required to use it, though.

Saw one that did a pretty good job using really simple rules, such as "In the Name of Allah = Hi there"

Yeah, the one site I have used in the past is no longer up.
