Best Hard Rock Ever? Get a clue.
Zepplin is the absolute Best Rock Band EVER!

When I saw Duff and Slash in Velvet Revolver it brought back some old memories.

When I lived in Dallas I was able to see quite a few 80's hard rock groups, hell some of my friends opened up for a few. It was usually kind of depressing once the night ended and I realized that a lot of these bands seemed like they where playing for pocket change now. Bands that would never have talked to ya back in the day where now all sociable and layed back.

Today's bands -- in 20 years -- will be working at Jiffy Lube and their bands will have been replaced by newer bands that look and sound exactly like them. I wonder where President of the United States of America and Smashing Pumpkins are now?
You don't even *wanna* see the contracts new bands sign to labels these days. To say they're up there bouncing around to minimum wage is *not* too much of an understatement. But they're young, banging hot chicks, and flying in private jets -- so they don't care. Bottomline.

On the other hand, Zep does have that Viking Kitten song.

Yep...it does. But at least I'm pretty and not nearly as stupid as the majority of my generation.TheProject said:Boy, it must suck being that old.

Razorguns said:That "party" and "decadent" atmosphere and lifetsyle of the band is what entices throngs of people to want to come to their shows and hang out with them. Those throngs of people to the shows then make big money for club owners. People making money catches the ear of record executives. Record executives don't want to be "left out" and sign bands that make money. Formula complete.
That formula also worked for Motley Crue, Doors and Aerosmith.
There's no "wild and fun" bands in LA anymore to attract clubgoers. Which is why most original bands (of all genres) draw a whopping total of 30 people, while tribute bands like mine, draw 200-500.
