Apocolypse Now Redux

seen this last night, and i have to say that the new scenes (the extended playboy bunny scenes as well as those involving the French) truly sucked.
the original movie is a masterpiece, flawless as far as i am concerned, and the additional 30 mins did nothing for me.

I certainly agree it's a masterpiece, probably one of those relatively rare films that has a significant impact on the American psyche.

Course, I saw Hedwig and the Angry Inch yesterday -- a rock-n-roll castration fantasy -- and I still can't cross my legs comfortably.
