Anyone watch the Dixie Chicks interview?

I know gt has the latest Dixie Chic bath towels and pot holder set. Dixie Chics china pattern and bed sheets. Hell, he probably even has the board game.:)

I watched the interview! I would have had more respect for 'em if they would have just said, 'We fucked up! We will have to deal with ALLLL the repercussions now".

The interview came across like they were looking for sympthay from the world, in regards to the safety/death threats some fans spewed at 'em in the heat of all this! Sorry, that shit don't "Fly" with me! WE ALL have to OWN the bed of shit we make in life and NOT look for a scapegoat after WE fuck up!!!!

Will I stop listening to them? Nope, it's all about the music not THEIR belief's!

Who wrote Landslide anyways? I know Steve Nicks sung it years back. Did she write it as well?

Exactly....that's the part that pissed me off. I could care less what they think, and their homegirls from Dallas! But IMO they fucked up a good song.

My take on it was that they were trying to hedge their bets a little. I believe she was honestly sorry for what she said. However, at the same time, she was desperately trying not to look like she was selling out her beliefs either.

To me, bashing the President is practically a national passtime and has little to do with the Dixie Chicks plight. What they should be apologizing for is bashing the President ON FOREIGN SOIL. This is an absolute no-no in mine eyes (they really should've consulted me first). Had they just apologized for that, without reservation, I think people would be more likely to forgive them an to allow them their beliefs. After all, they were hardly the only celebrities to voice opposition to the war. I mean, I don't recall any national outcry to boycott the West Wing, do you?

Landslide was first performed by Fleetwood Mac, which Steve Nicks did lead vocals on. Stevie remade it solo several years ago and the Dicks in Chicks remade it again and destroyed it, IMO.

Interesting. I thought the Pumpkins version was gawd-awful, and that the Chicks remake was pretty good. They sang it with Stevie somewhere before all the hubbub.

IMO it says a lot that they are gonna do that nude pose deal..everybody likes money,but this group just doesn't pass the smell test..they're mindset reminds me of the bigwigs at enron,worldcom,tyco et. al.
 
What did they do that was so wrong? I don't know the whole story. They bashed the president in another country? So what? Is it only because we were about to be involved in a war that people got their panties in a wad? During peacetime, noone would give a shit. Do you want our freedom on speech taken away?
