anyone watch any British programmes on TV?

Dr. No.... Benny Hill....

Not really, just kidding, british stuff sucks...

use to watch Coronation Street, good damn show,I was hooked, but the cable company found out I was borrowing cable and cut it off

watched emmerdale a few times but didnt care for it as much as Coronation

there was another one also, the dad was a dentist, with a son and daughter, wife was funny shit she was,but again no cable, and I forget the name

Well my mother fancies herself on watching every show that BBC offers in America. And yes, the British flag is flying in front of the house. She watches Hyancinth Bouquet and all those retarded remodeling shows. She thinks it's just a HOOT!

brit tv is so boring most of the time. it always seems like it was filmed in the 70's.

monty python was funny though, and that ali-g can be sorta funny sometimes too.

this thread is as boring as british humor....

Hell yeah, Mr. Bean is the man! :D

I used to watch that. I can only hack so much method comedy. Give me some old school SC TV!

Actually isn't there a Brittish cooking show with some big busted ( they all are on BTV ) gal who shows you how to make some dish? I remember going to London and watching it, then seeing the girl on Real Sex when I got back to the states. ;)

Monty Python's Flying Circus is a given.

Fawlty Towers is still one of my fav. shows of all-time.

Coronation Street has been on here every Sunday for years. I watch it occasionally.

There were a few more I can't think of, off hand.

Nigella Lawson (?). I fell in love with her when I was over there. She was always licking her fingers while cooking. woof....

the way nigella deep throats a asparagus spear vefore chomping on it gives me goosebumps

American TV is for the most part moronic and runs along the same old tired idea's as TV execs persist in thinking the same old jokes are funny (Jack is gay, karens a whore, i get it!), any show's you get converted from other countries get re-modelled into that old shell and then fail. aside from HBO and their type of 'cutting edge' programs, most of them bite....its just the fact you make so many that you have genuinely good shows, and then they get cancelled for the tired old crap (i.e. futurama vs. will and grace)

brit TV is again mixed quality but i find it can be really innovative when it wants to be. Yes, minister, Porridge, Only fools etc are classics....My family (the dentist thing oak mentioned) is cool, black books, spooks, i prefer the topical debate shows....the stuff you get exported is what the TV execs expect you will like which typically isnt
