anyone use Yahoo Messenger?

How does it compare to MSN messenger?

Is there a search function so I can search and find membes with shared interests? (art and travel?)

I use it, and like it better than the others. I've never searched, but I think you can go to Yahoo and look for members and chat rooms by interest.

I find it less annoying than MSN Messenger.

i use AOL IM the most..

MSN is nice because of the cam and games options..

yahoo is ok.. saves offline messages.. you can use a cam but its slow.. you can hide invisible.

With AOL IM you can send text messages to people's cell phones though.. that is awesome.

I use AIM from time to time under the same name. Sometimes it's fun to go to the gay chat rooms, find one of those people that go to those just to be ignorant then tell them how I am going to beat and rape them.

I hate multi user chat rooms. I visited one once at gay.com and within half an hour, I had beat, bit, fucked, sucked, whipped and shaved my way through two dozen men. It is amazing what guys will do for you when you use a filthy mouth.

I prefer yahoo over MSN.

On yahoo I can modify font and font color.

I mostly use AIM, but I do have both MSN and Yahoo. Yahoo is definitely better than MSN. The smileys are much better, plus you can buzz the person you are talking to if you don't think you are getting enough attention.

Everyone I know prefers AIM though, so by default I have to use that the most.

MSN sucks to me. ICQ is stupid with the member number instead of name.

yahoo works fine for me, security patches are auto download and rare...there are search functions, and it is more secure than MSN. Easy file transfer options and easy download, install, and set up...

Yahoo is definitely the best in my opinion. MSN is worthless, while AIM is okay.

Best features for Yahoo is the ability to send offline messages, archiving/saving your chats, and the invisible feature (that you can set BEFORE you log on). Also, better smileys, can have different backgrounds/environments, and better appearance/setup IMO.

It has extensive search features. You can search profiles based on keywords, etc if you go to view friends profile.

With AOL IM you can send text messages to people's cell phones though.. that is awesome.

actually, i take that back. they're not all completely equal. if you want to do voice chat and/or vidoe chat, the new version of msn (6.0 I think) is a hell of a lot better (the old one sucked but the new one is really simple to use).
