anyone use 1-800 contacts?

I don't have vision insurance right now, but I use 1-800-contacts. You will need a prescription obviously to order contacts from them, so if you don't have one that is current, you're still going to have to hit Eyemasters and pay for an exam/prescription. But if you've got a prescription, 1-800-contacts is a good deal.

thats sucks. I might as well go in and get an exam and have insurance pay for my contacts. I just figured I could order the same contact perscription I have now so I could dely going for an exam for abit.

I've used 1-800-contacts about five times. I tried a different company that was a bit cheaper and it was a disaster. I've never had any issues with 1-800-contacts though.

They do verify. I've had them turn me down because they called my doctor who said that my prescription was expired.

They don't verify shit. I just looked in the phone book and put down a Dr.'s name and phone number.

Vision insurance really is not that common...and if you do have it, it usually sucks. There are exceptions.

I ordered one night at like 5pm and the contacts were at my door the next AM.
