I just finished Phantoms. He sets a good mood in the first half, but overall it's OK.
False Memory and Fear Nothing were really good.
Sick Puppy (Carl Hiaasen) and Plum Island (Nelson DeMille) are great.

READ" "LUCKY YOU" BY CARL HIAASEN. it is by far the funniest and best book he has ever written.
i have yet to read any of koontz books.. too many others to keep me busy. anyway, i usually stick to non-fiction.
couple good books i can recomend: "cosmos" and "the demon haunted world" by carl sagan. "sphere" by michael crichton. "animal farm" by george orwell. "roses are red" and "violets are blue" by james patterson... just about any book by the authors i mentioned are good.
I have read EVERY and I mean EVER book Dean has published
since about 1976 and a few of the Older ones in different Pen Names recently republished...
My favorites are Watchers and Lightening... Definite Must reads.
I own about 12 of the best so I guess I'm a real fan.
His characters are Rich and Funny.
Watchers has some of the Scariest Scenes outside of S. King...
