Anyone need help with Accutane?

I have gotten a lot of good info from this board and I thought I should try to give some back, so if anyone has any accutance ?'s I would be happy to answer them, I've done 3 cycles through my dermatoligist so I have a lot of first hand experience and knowledge from a doc.

I'm almost positive that you need to go see a dermatologist to get put on Accutane. Cause when I was in high school, I had bad zits and my buddy was on Accutane and it worked so I wanted it. I went into my family doctor and he said he couldn't prescribe it for me, but he would refer me to a dermatologist and if he/she decided that I needed it, he/she would prescribe it for me.

how long after a cycle is ok to start accutane??
my cycle will be:
10 weeks
750 cyp
300 deca
40 mgs dbol(4 weeks)
50mgs winny eod(week 5-10)

so what do you think...safe!!

If you are worried about your liver, I would wait until after your winny, but during the cycle you could go 40mg (one gelcap) three times a week, that should keep you relatively clear with little to no sides (probably only chapped lips). I actually was prescribed this dose by my derm because I get acne when I'm off accutane but even when I'm on only a little I stay clear.

I acctually have clear skin when on a cycle but about 1 month later and using clomid i break out pretty bad...so i was thinking accutane post cycle.

You could use anything from 40mg 3 times a weeks to 1 mg per kg body weight per day depending on how bad the acne is, and how much dry skin you are willing to put up with. If you are going to use high doses, definatly get a non comegenic mosturizer, mosturizing facial wash, and blistex lip balm. As always, drink a lot of water too.

I got Adult acne 4 years ago and did one cycle of Accutane. I think it did the trick and never had any acne again my skin is really clear. Will that change on my next cycle of Clomid or just wait and see?

It will probably be milder than it would have been but you will probably still break out

Just for info, my doc is a regular doc, and he's perscribed me the accutaine. He even bumped the mg after the first round seemed to fall short of our expectations. This is the second cycle of done of it, and my first cycle was perscribed by a different doc (but still just a reg MD).

Works pretty well. Expect the following:

Dry skin and lips
Worse acne for a while (maybe 2 - 3 weeks)
Possible nose bleeds (happened once while I was at gym)

Those are the only real sides I seem to have while doing it. The lips are annoying, only because they crack and bleed a little, just general discomfort from them. Doen'st make you very kissable either.

Other than that, I really think the liver damage is minimal. Being docs they have to warn of everything, since law suits are a pain in their ass. And docs these days seem to cover their butts with everything. Throughout my cycle my liver values have remained clear, even after bumping up the dose. If you do choose to do another oral with it, just make sure you get periodic blood tests. But I really don't think it's going to hurt you.

Accutaine questions

My friend had a prescription for accutaine and he is now happy with his acne problems. He has 2 months of 40mg tabs and he is going to give them to me. My acne is not bad but just bad enough to bug me. I was thinking of doing 40mg every other day and then if not happy with the results moving up to 40mg every day. You seem to know a lot about the subject so your opinion will help. Thanks

40mg on Mon, Wed and Friday has worked incredible for me, clear skin with only a little dryness. I would try that first.

i can second what SOEX said. my first and third course were from derms, but my second was from a regular doc. its possible to get it from a regular doc, just unlikely, b/c many docs are so apprehensive about prescribing it b/c of the potential side effects. many docs just feel uncomfortable w/ that drug unless it is their specialty (i.e. a derm).

not sure if its available in the US yet, but there is now an Accutane Topical Gel, which is much better for you liver.

are you sure? a-50, deca, test, fina? w/ the exception of deca, u are choosing some of the most androgenic compounds available. if u need accutane, then chances are u are prone to acne, and these androgenic compounds will make u a mess. i tried test after accutane and it put me right back to where i was b4. might want to consider some milder AAS, like winny, primo, etc. milk thistle is fine w/ accutane; it will only help your liver. good luck!

thanks man....i was wondering if i can getaway with the accutan and A-50 test and deca maybe fina without killing my liver??
i was thinking that because i have to take blood test every 4 weeks it would tell me when to stop ...but i also afrid that my dermatolgist will have to stop me from continuing the accutain and the acne will kill me ...it's really killing me know ....thanks bro
