Usually when I'm just chilling is the only time I'll listen to classical. It's good music to surf EF to. It does make your brain feel more "awake". I can only handle small doses of it though (typically an hour or two at most). Actually any kind of music more than that length of time and I start getting bored.

I want to find good recordings of Beethoven's symphonies. Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, and Wagner are also good.

I've got good stuff from most of those I'll try to remember to take a look later when I get home and make a list.

Mainly his 5th and 9th. There are also some piano sonatas that I've been trying to find. In my college music class this pianist came in and played a pretty sinister sounding piece but I don't for the life of me remember what it was. The cool thing about Beethoven is his music more or less reflected his state of mind at different points in his life. In this piece you could tell he was beginning to struggle with going deaf. It started barely mezzo piano and cautious-like he was trying to find the tone, then out of nowhere got fff allegro and violent. Great stuff.
