Good info hajjdo
That info on Frank Zane's seminar was a good read. I am interested in how the 70's (and 80's) bodybuilders trained...interesting how Zane worked up to a weight then tried to maintain that strength level while decreasing the rest time between sets...I always thought that 70's bbders simply performed high rep low weight exercises near contest time...in many pics of Arnold training have he is relatively low weights...and those pics were probably taken when he was in contest condition. Zanes has been described as be one of the most intelligent and scientific trainers, and his points of view on vitamins and sugar intake are interesting.
Johnny fuller, I have read, trained heavy as he could in the 20-30 rep range ....Serge Nubret only worked triceps near contest time, and relied on bench press for chest development and tricep development, and took winters off training, (Robert Kennedy, 'Beef it') but how he ate remains a mystery.
One thing hasnt changed...bulking back then was the same as now...eat eat keep training to basic movements and dont train too often ...I had an old 1960's weider booklet that outlined such routines.
