I've stopped drinking entirely.

Picture a bar, in the party district of a city, such as Buckhead / Atlanta. Look around.

When it comes to drinking, I've been

the bar
the bartender
the dance floor
the guy with the light sticks selling pills
the line to get it
the rope where the line forms
the bouncer
the cheesy $37 tattoo on the bouncer's arm
the shot girl
the girl that dances on the bar, cellulite and all
the guy who starts the fight
the guy who ends the fight
the guy who sneaks in the window
the obnoxious ass clowns 'riding' in the Hummer
the guy being questioned by the cops
the cops
the handcuffs
the vomit
the guy who leaves with the hot chick
the guy who leaves with the ugly chick
the guy who leaves with no chick because it's halloween and i am too drunk to figure out genders
the guy who started drinking in GA and woke up in SC
the road leading to the area
the road leaving from the area
the late night pizza place

and a few others.

having done it all, i quit.

I have slowed down a lot, I tend to go out with friends and get drunk and enjoy myself once in a while, I may even have a couple of quiet ones tonight, last chance I will get for a while.

i'm cutting right now, so no alcohol for 3 months. i don't drink all that much anymore anyway, so it's really no big deal. i find the older i get, the worse my hangovers get too.

I don't drink "socially" anymore. For example when friends go out we almost always end up at a bar, I'll get water only. Never been big on the drinking scene.

Now I'll have some wine now and then with the wife at home, but only with her and only at home. I'd just rather have water or milk.

I used to drink a lot....and was so much fun....
As of now I barely touch alcohool....but when I travel to Europe I will always have a beer or some wine with friends!!

Have not had a sip of alcohol since 19 years of age, currently 27. Sure I have had my nights back in the day, but alcohol never went well with me, all my days since age 7 had and still have something athletically involved, alcohol and performing at a level that even some seasoned athletes can only think about does not work in a synergistic manner. It's pointless!

I'll drink, but only on occasion, and even then, it's moderate. Once in a while I'll get drunk. And I haven't been wasted in like 3 years. Probably won't ever be again either.

My folks were teetotal, and the guy next door was a falling-down drunk, so the contrast knob was turned up pretty high when I was a kid. It's an acquired taste, and I just never acquired it.
