Anyone here train at golds?

There is a new one by me and I can get a membership for $20/month... Wanted to see how peeps liked it as a chain/brand gym overall....

I currently pay about $30-35/month (but I only have to pay $2 every time I go, so if I take a layoff, it is not costing me) - It is a really small place and all it really has is a rack, but I am a born again PL, so I like that they let me use bands and any other weird crap I want to do...

The golds has lots of equipment I would like to have available for accessory type stuff (keeps it interesting).... any free tanning doesn't hurt...

There is another place in town I would like to go to (with PL specific equipment, etc) but if it is much more expensive I won't bother with it....

I trained at one while I was in Toronto. I liked the atmosphere and the quality of equipement. Only complaint was the building was to muggy!

they usually have some decent equipment....i wish there was one in the city by me.....

i might be switching to World Gym.....if they are any cheaper than what I am paying now.

bigdawg- the one I am at now has no climate control (hot in summer/cold in winter) so anything is an improvement in that dept...

I want to join at Gold's Redondo Beach but parking can be a real hassle.

Mrs. Digger decided that Curves wasn't giving her what she wanted, so she switched to Gold's about three months ago.

Weirded me out when she told me the trainer at the local one is a blind guy... but he apparently knows his stuff.

Gold's Gymmer here. $25/month for a year contract. Workable facility.

my golds has all the neccesary stuff but it's very "health club." Pink and peach fucking walls. They also play the gold's gym network, which is essentially a bunch of songs that suck. Their cardio theatre is huge and has nice equipment so it keeps the morning MILFs happy.

I train at Golds here in the Lou about 50% of the time. Nice gym, hate the crowds so I only go when it isn't packed.

I work out at Golds and 24 hr fitness... cheapest golds membership available in SB is 40/month... but they have 3 locations in this one city... kinda cool. 24 fitness back in oc is great...peter north always there.

I liked training at Gold's when it was still a Gold's and not a Balley's. It was a good group of lifters and very helpful. I don't recall anyone going unspotted at any time.

I've trained at Gold's for 3 years running. They have four gyms in my area that I can go to. I stick with the same one due to traffic, though. I have been to almost every gym in town and nothing beats Gold's for the equipment, staff, and atmosphere. I pay more, and drive further to get to Gold's, but it is worth it to me.
