Anyone have an Ionic Breeze?

Do you like it? I have asthma and was looking to get one to help clean out the air.

Does it make your house smell better/fresher?

I have 2 of them and 2 little ones for the bathrooms I don`t use the bathroom ones. They definately change the smell in the air after a few hours or so of running it. You turn it on and forget it, it`s totally silent because there are no moving parts. Every time It makes a slight noise, I clean the strip inside while I`m in the shower and just let it drip dry.

The only problem I can see (I`ve had it for a couple of years I think now) is the cleaning needs to be done more frequently. It could be my imagination but... I`m not sure. Definately lasts a few days running 24/7. The only time they don`t run is when they`re dirty and I have`nt cleaned them yet. I have one in my bedroom and one in my kid`s bedroom.

If I had to come up with a phrase that meant "filter" it would be "containment unit".

But I'm always tempted to buy one, even though it lies about not having a filter.

I have my windows open nearly 24/7/365. I doubt the thing would ever get a handle on things.

It does`nt "Clean" the room or anything. The dust it collects on the grids when they`re full is nothing really. There`s always gonna be dust and stuff in the room, so if that`s why you`re getting it, don`t bother. It DOES leave a certain smell in the air when it`s on though. The fact that it`s totally silent is good too. I just leave it on and forget it.

It was expensive, I forget, maybe $400+ or $500 for both. I`ve had the HEPA type filters in the past, they`re just too noisy and you need to replace filters anyway.
