from what i have gathered on a LLC is that you and a partner each claim your seperate profits and your assets are somewhat protected

do you have anymore info on this? i know it varies by state but i'm trying to find out what goes into becomming a LLC, how much it costs, do you need to renew every year? is it easier to have one of these online companies file for you? etc etc

its gonna be a snow plowing business, with one other owner

Go with an S-corp because it's easier to file.

Re: profits, losses, you do them according to share of ownership.
