anyone had gyno surgery before?

i read some emedcine literature on the procedure, but what i need to know is the following:

im going for excision, no liposuction....

- when do the results abundantly show? how long do i have to wait before i can see results? the article says full result is seen up to a year?!? surely not....what if too much goes, i'll still have muscle showing underneath right!?

- how long till you resumed full on training of upper body

- any complications? haematoma? scarring? undue pain? nipple disfiguration? loose skin hanging?

- were you under general anaesthesia? how long in hospital?

- were you seen by a plastic surgeon or a general surgeon?

I had it in High School.

I would suggest a plastic surgeon.

I only had the hard lump, no fat.

I do have scarring, not really visible unless you were looking for it.....I blame that on it benig a reg surgeon and not a plastic surg.

They are a tad pointy now from the way he put the incision in...not really noticeable, except to me.

I do have that numb feeling aound the nipple, but I still have the sensitivity on the actual nip.

Can't remember about recovery....i believe it was a couple of weeks.

Is yours from AS?

no, it was post pubertal gyno which never resolved, im natural


im not sure about this surgeons credentials, i'll have to ask him, but the way our health service works, fuck knows when i can be seen by a plastic surgeon. he is a consultant thankfully. either way im asking how many he has done

i;ve got the same type you have, i hope scarring isnt an issue, that, long term post-op pain and loose skin/skin redundancy are a real concern

I had NO complications with mine. I had a pretty bad case from AAS. Definately wait till you can get in to see a plastic surgeon. You'll be glad you did. I also had the entire gland removed. My gyno is gone FOREVER. You can see absolutely no scars what so ever. I had to take about a month off from upper body then was back to normal. I have NO indentations or loose skin either. Just a natural looking chest. You will probably have to wear a compression binder to help the healing and also avoid a hematoma. You may even have a small drain in each side like I did. I have never been sorry about having mine out. Best decision I ever made. Yes my insurance covered it as well. Most important thin though is to see a plastic surgeon rather than a general surgeon.
