Anyone get lasik eye surgury done?

I had it done last spring.
I just wish I had done it earlier.

There is nothing to it really, I went in had it
done, and was driving that night without
glasses.

Some people do have problems with it,
your doctor will explain all the possibilities.

My vision was 20/250 now it is 20/20.

no glasses!

did it.....love it.......recommend it.

any questions, pm me.

I had my lasik surgery done 8 months ago. I went from 20/400 vision (legally blind) to 20/15!! I have had a new outlook on the world since my surgery. Everything is so crisp! Do some research on your surgeon. The cheapest guy may not be the best. This is the doctor who did my surgery: www.drmichaelkelly.com. I highly recommend him. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

P.S. I was back in the gym the day after my surgery!

Had it done and things are a lot better than when I had contacts.
My only complaint is that I have problems driving at night.
Be sure you talk to the Dr. about night vision. I have large pupils and it is not recommended for people that have large pupils, however know one told me until after I had the procedure done and started to complain about not being able to see at night. The glare that I get from other cars is Blinding. Also I had to give up playing Softball at night due to the Glare and Halos from the lights. Just make sure you talk to your Dr. about the possibility of inpared Night vision

I had PRK done which is similar. I highly recommend it. The chances of a major screw up are slim to none.

A friend had it done and he sees 20/20 now.

I'd like to have it done sometime in the future. I literally cannot see my damn clock without my contacts.

One thing though, do not shop around for price. Shop around for quality. It's not like you're buying a pair of shoes or a pen and are looking for the cheapest deal. These are yer eyeballs... you get what you pay for. Pay for McDonald's chesseburger and you go blind. Pay for filet mignon and welcome to 20/20.

my eyes are still getting worse :(
i dont want to get it until they stop.... but i cant fucking WAIT!

i have horrid vision especially in one eye. near sighted. don't know the 20/etc rating for it but one is -4.++ still changing and the other is -2.5ish
thats whats on the contact lense boxes anyway/ my glasses havent been updated in ages so i rarely wear them.

Dread, I was -7.5 in one eye and -6.5 in the other. I couldn't see the big "E" on the eye chart, no joke. I can legally drive without glasses now.

The best thing to do is talk to friends or coworkers
who have had it done. Find out about their doctor
and how the staff treated them.
That is what I did, and now it is great not having to wear
glasses or contacts.

I'm thinking about having it done again to try to correct me to 20/20. There is a Dr. in my area that does it for $700/eye. When I had it done it was $2000/eye.

I had mine done for $2,000 for both eyes, including
all the follow up exams, and treatments if needed.

Freak, I had mine done while the laser was still relatively new. Prices have come down A LOT.

how is the vision rating determined? I know what my prescription is, but not the 20/20, 20/400 etc. type shit.

Each line on the standard eye chart is numbered. Basically 20/20 means that you can read line number 20 at a distance of 20 feet.
