Anyone ever read The Stranger?

I just finished reading it for English class, one of our 5 projects over the break.

From what I got the guy didn't care about anything. He did what he wanted when he wanted.

As I learned he didn't care about the world around him, I also learned I didn't care about the book. I guess I took his mentality on it.

Just wondering if theres a deeper meaning I'm missing in the book.

Existensialinism (that's deffinitly not how you spell it) -- anyway, i found it depressing and cool at the same time

I loved my senior hs english class, awesome books...A Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm, The Stranger. Better than that Wuthering Heights/Jayne Eire crap they make you read as a junior.
