Anyone ever read Fight Club?

I love the movie. It's one of my faves. So, I figured I'd read the book.

Any of you illiterate pieces of crap ever read it?

No but I heard it was good and not the same as the movie...

i read it... def worth the read. it is different from the movie, and it is very good...he also has some other good books including survivor (my second favorite by chuck palahnuik (spelling?))

peace

Yeah it's good. The movie is damn good too though. One of the rare cases in my opinion where it is debatable which is better. I read Lullaby too, and it was ok. Haven't read Choke or Survivor though, which I heard are his two best.

ive never read anything from that author but want to start.

Survivor was pretty good. Haven't read Fight Club yet. May do that since parts of the movie are a bit fuzzy for me as I only saw it once or twice.

chuck palahniuk is the author of fight club, and he is having 3 more of his books made into movies (survivor, invisible monsters, and diary). survivor was in production, but once 9/11 happened, the people over at fox didn't think an airplance hijacking would go over all that well.

chuck palahniuk has used steroids and has written about his experiences while on it. he is also involved in mixed martial arts (primarily bjj)

chuck palahniuk is one of the most available modern day writers, who actually appreciates his fans. he often goes and buys little toys and trinkets and mails a box of random crap to people who just wrote him a letter saying what they might have gotten out of one of his books. he also has a monthly Q&A on his website to help others become better writers, not to mention he is publishing a book on how to develop one's writing skills in the near future.

chuck has also written many articles and essays for many different magazines and publications from all sorts of genres. he is also a member of the caucophony society that does weird, random, and funny shit on a large scale (like 500 people dressed as santa in the summer shopping around downtown portland, oregon).

he is also one of the few gay writers who doesn't define himself or his work by his sexuality. in fact, he stayed in the closet for awhile, because in the past most gay writers would be put in the 'gay section' of a bookstore regardless of what their book and its content may be about. he kept it to himself because he wanted to reach all types of people, not to mention what he does should mean absolutely anything, one way or the other, to anyone else.

chuck has always been super friendly to all of his fans, posts often on the palahniuk fan site, and is an all around smart guy. i will actually be seeing him in the near future,.
