Anyone ever Hook up on the internet?

I get alot of IMs and e-mails from chicks doing searches.Some I talk to for awhile until I find out their fat or have like 12 kids,(No offence,but not what I want).Or from freaky little girls(Which I bail on ASAP).

I talked to a girl last night for about 3 hours,seemed really cool and we seem to have alot in common.She sent a shot of her face and she's pretty cute and doesn't look like a heavyweight.

I'm not above meeting someone like this,nor should I think anyone should.Just wondered if anyone had any experiences with this and were they good or bad?

ive done it more than once. Just last weekend i went across the country to meet a chick i had only talked to vie internet and cellphone. Spent the weekend wth her. its a great way to meet new people. Just dont set you expectations TOO high. Cuz sometimes it wont be pretty.

I haven't, but I know people who have. I have a friend who swears by it. He meets tons of girls off singles web-sites, and usually has sex with them within a few hours of meeting. Then he never talks to them again.

Personally...it just seems fundementally wrong to me somehow. Like having sex with your cousin or something.

Then again, maybe I need to loosen up and join the 21st century. Like Bmom said, it's just another way of meeting people.

It's a neat way to get to the superficial stuff second, i.e. after you've figured out if you have something in common.

Most women in bars don't wear T-shirts that say "I graduated from ... majored in ... I work as a ..... Have 2 kids ... have been divorced twice .... I think Klinton is, was, and always will be a fuckstick...etc..."

There are also some pretty good-looking women that are shy so if you meet one on the internet, you probably have yourself one who isn't too high on herself....

personally I find nothing wrong with it. If you're using it as a hook-up (and I have spoken to plenty of guys that do,) it's also supposed to be pretty easy because women don't tend to be as superficial as men, so once they meet a "nice guy" online and think "he might be it," looks are usually not the deal-breaker for them.
