anyone ever get sick from amino acids?

this is the fourth time i've come close to puking from taking amino acid tablets, more like horse pills....previously i got sick three times after taking them (prob. 20 mins. or less)

i stopped taking them for a few weeks then took them again today, and had my head in little johnny for a few.

has anyone else had this problem or am i just a weird one?

oh and the amino i took was Optimum Nutrition Superior Amino 2222

2222 mg. per tablet

I took the other caps by optimum and never had any problems. How many tabs did you take? maybe you should try and taper up to the reccomended dose if possible.

i took two, which was what i thought was the recommended dose.

i'll have to check again.

I know with the one I tried 4 caps was the reccomended or something like that, so if it was giving you trouble you could try and taper up to it possibly. You may also want to keep in mind what your eating/doing before this. If your taking them post workout with a shake maybe its the combination or scenerio that is making you sick.
