Anyone else hate Windows Media Player

I can't stand it. I definately use other programs for playing movies and for playing CDs.

I'm right there with you. The Eugenius. I use ZoomPlayer for movies too. It's great, compact and doesn't use too much resources. I use Winamp for mp3's and audio files but I like QCD Player for playing CDs.

I will try out QCD. I hate how Winamp has this audible pause between tracks, when it is required to be seamless for certain CDs.

I've benn using the BSPlayer that I got with the K-lite codec pack. http://www.bsplayer.org/ for the player.

Let me know how you like QCD Player Eugenius. I used to play CDs with winamp but I like QCD player much better. And you already know Zoom Player is very good for video files.

The interface is pretty cumbersome, strange, inconvenient, and unweilding. I really don't like that. Other than that it runs ok.

I use Media player...like v5.0 or something (whatever originally came w/Win2k). It's small, compact, and looks decent. I use winamp to play all my CD's and mp3's, and occasionally winDVD for DVDs.

i use a skin with it, but i do like media player (only for short vids though)

Yeah I have Windosw 2k on my laptop and that has the older version of media player which wasn't bad. It was compact but with windows xp you have to use a more recent and seriously bloated version of media palyer.

I just dl zoomplayer, and its really solid. it also seems faster than media player. thanks bros.

I'm going to bump this cause After messing around with the bs player I've found it to be really good, it seem really well thought out. Lots of functionsand shortcuts.
