Anyone Else Going Thru their mid life crisis?

curling

New member
If age expectancy for men 70 I am actually past mid life. My oldest daughter is 18 and will be moving out in about a 1 and half(making her go to jr college the first year because I will miss her like crazy) I don't seem to move as fast as I use to and I can't stay out late and go to work the next day on time(good thing I work for myself otherwise I would have to fire me.

Work just doesn't hold a big interest to me like it use to. I like riding motorcyles(like ya'll didn't know) and enjoy wakeboarding but other than that life just kinda lays flat. Sex isn't even as fun as it use to be. Vacations are good but they just don't seem worth the money they cost these days.

Heck now I am even looking at old mustangs(mach 1) for another toy. I wonder why you gravitate towards toys when you hit the middle age crazy thing. I guess I am trying to hold on what is left of my youth because growing old doesn't look like that much fun to me.

Anyway is there any other crazy middle dudes and chicks out there going thru the same crap I am? And what do you waste your money on?

cocaine will bring back the spice in your life...

as far as daughter going to college, i'd be stressed

Labradoodle...

get the maid your wife wants, then tag her every time she comes over to clean while doing blow

I did enough coke when I was younger to last a life time. That is what is probably wrong with my brain. Cocaine is evil.

I want to travel and get back into Photography.. Mostly landscapes..

No motorcycle, sports cars or women on the side for me as a crisis, but
I have found that I think more about how I treat people and myself now as in better

Or a Schnoodle.

Then what would I do for a thrill? I don't mind give money back to God though afterall it is His. Maybe, you're on to something though, maybe I should get more involved in Church.

Sounds like you have the free time...
What skills or gifts do you have that the church needs outside of giving just your $ ?

Have you ever taken a gifts assesment at your church to see what you could do ? Finance committee maybe ?

it seems as though you are trying to fill a void by collecting material items that may provide a brief joy, but nothing fullfilling or longterm

curling she is 18? You going to send her to A&M? I'll watch over her for you orb. All of you guys know you can trust BBF with your daughter. She will be in good hands.

Keep dreaming dude. I might be going to college station on the 30 to ride the track there. Do you still live there or did you move to Houston?

Ylifter,

I have don't a gift accessment a long time ago. I need to do another one. I am not a perfect person and I am afraid if I get to involved with activities in church I might make a example for Christ. I don't know if that makes sense or not.

Nope I'm still here orb. Dreaming? I was just trying to do you a favor orby.... besides I have a girlfriend now... she just happens to like kitty also...

Are you back in class? I remember reading you had some problem with admissions or something.

Nope, next semester. I'm pretty much on bed rest most of the time right now. I have the docs permission to train my legs starting this weekend if I want, but it will be 3 weeks before I can do upper body. SO I'm spending a lot of time sleeping. I've lost verylittle if any lbm though, and have gotten a little leaner accordingot my friends and gf.

My boyfriend will be 40 in a few weeks. He is freaking out big time! He spends his money on strippers, his Corvettes, and underwater video crap.

He had an abcess/infection in his bicep from shaving his arm...

Gotta watch out when ridding your self of unwanted body hair..

Especially on your chest... might end up getting an infection in your heart or some shit...

I go to strip clubs with him and enjoy it. I dance for him sometimes too but I'm not there with him all the time. I don't get money for it though. He has three Corvettes. 1984 (or 1985), 1996, and 2000. He also spends his money of him other two cars and a van he is converting.

No, now that we have looked closer, it seems I tore the muscle while training (it was only a partial tear) and I got in infection from a bacteria in my bloodstream taht got there from my GI track, not through the skin.

The abcess got bad fast because the doctors did not realize what had happened and treated it as though I had a staff in fection and the antibiotics were ineffective.

curling my bills are not that high and my family has money. Just because I'm on a tight budget personally does not mean my family is poor.

Well I didn't say they didn't but if I remember right you said that you didn't have the bucks to pay for last semesters hours or something.

True, my grants didn't come through as expected and my mother doesn't pay for my school. She covers most of my basic expenses though, while I'm in school.

So is that what they call it Curling....do you look back and wonder how time flew by so fast and wonder if you missed anything? How about looking in the mirror and wondering hmmmmm..interesting.........

Well yea, and that life is over half gone. In otherwords I am on the back of the hill now going down. It isn't going to get better it is going to get worse and then I will die. You drive past a cemetary and they are full of graves. It is weird.

Becoming,

Sure bro, you can drive it(if I get it) but what makes you think I am going to wreck it?

Curling, I know exactly how you feel.
Great read on the topic: "Passages" by Gail Sheehy.
Talks about the major things people have to experience/learn in each decade of life,
and what happens if something gets delayed or not learned....you have to learn
it later in life when it's harder to do.
Explains the "50 year old acting like a 20 year old" syndrome and help avoid it.
Good book to figure out if you're on track and where you're going.

But I like acting 20. I mean as long as you act it you don't feel it if you know what I mean? How old are you btw?
