Anyone else ever have dreams where...

mdd

New member
they get in a fight, but everything seems to be in slow motion, and your landing all your punches, but they seem incredibly weak and don't do anything to the other person?

i have these every so often, and i'm usually defending someone.... i hate the feeling when i wake up, this ever happen to anyone else???

I hate that dream.

I always win, however, when I realize it's a dream and I simply
raise my fists above my head and command all hell to rain upon
my enemy.

It looks really cool.

Yes Ive had dreams like that where I am hitting someone but they are slow and weak. I have a dream book I will look it up now

DUDE!
I hate that dream! I have it as a reocurring one though. I fight this dude, and my speed is fine, but my punch lands and causes little to no damage.
So i'm like what the fuck!? So i grab hold of him and throw him on my right shoulder and drop him into the ground on his face. But he stands as if nothing has happened crosses his arms, and laughs. I garb a nearby metal pole, whack him with it, a real god whack, I felt the power off of it, and as it lands, his head does not een flinch. It just bounces off as If i were striking a 200 year old tree. So by this time i feel incredibly weak in the kness, and my arms turn to rubber. I punch relentlessly, incessantly, but never does he budge, or stop smiling. He's like a glitch in a nintendo 64 game wherew you beat the hell out of someone and the doon't move nor change facial expression.

So, By now I have realized it is a dream.
So i place my hands on my abdomen, I turn them outward at the wrist, and lunge upward. While doing so, my rib cage explodes, birthing two gigantic, dragon like wings colored staind white. My flesh rips from my chest, off leaving the flesh on my face, but my entire torso is ravaged. Then the wings unfold even further, to reveal the scaled chest of the beast. my clothes by now have all been torn away, when suddenly my legs burst, revealing reptile like, legs with different joints, and extemely large claws. Then my face reforms, you can hear the bones grind, as my nose elongates into a snout, and my neck cracks and groans as it elongates.

By now I am a very large ogre looking beats, and i promptly, punch the laughing idiot, this time sending him a good 13 feet with the blow. He gets up, more slowly, and screams, "Oooh yuah kin ta jamb" as he claps his hands together, and spreads his wrists exposing me both palms, and a great blueish white light beams at me. i snarl and bolt at him this orb surging with electrical green energy. It connects and a giant beam between h9im and I open, his energy flows into me, and I roar in agony, he was quiite powerful... Once the blindingness of light fades away, I stand, eyes surging, heart pounding, and then as I feel oh so powerful, I awake.

When I wake up I am so mad. But hey, I have the dream again within the next few weeks.

Ok everyone hope this helps

Fighting in a dream symbolizes conflict or clashes w social strictures, other's ideals,or your own sense of right and wrong

A battle raging between the conscious and sub conscious, between thought versus emotion, masculine traits versus feminine traits etc

Releasing anger and related emotions that otherwise get subdued,or for which we do not have an adequate avenue of expression

The slow paralize feeling you are feeling is Avoiding emotions by turning them off
Experiencing so great a shock that the reality of a situation does not sink in, leaving you feeling numb and out of touch

So I would say there is something bothering you that is tormenting you or you feel guilty about but are trying to ignore or just let go. Maybe you feel guilty about something?? Or something bothered you you saw ? Or something tragic happened?Your subconsious is reminding you in your dreams.

I go to the jello store, but they're all out of orange jello... I try to mix red and yellow jello, but come up with mixed up red and yellow jello -- not orange.

Then, a baboon wearing a monkey suit drops through the skylight (which is really weird because jello store don't have skylights) and does an impersonation of Valerie Burtonelli from One Day At A Time...

Any ideas?

ok the monkey costume is a symbol of a facade or charade. Things are not as they seem
mimicry of various real life senarios as if in a play. This provides a safe medium for the expressions of your preceptions

The jello represents prehaps you have been dieting lately it could be a representation ofy our current eating habits it could be trying to tell you how you are feeling lately perhaps not mixing means you are disatisfied w your diet or you could be disatisfied w your results of an effort.

If I had to relate the 2 I would say you feel like a monkey, an amimal not being able to choose what you eat unhappy about your eating either youve ate 2 much and are upset with throwing away results or you are on a strict diet plan and think you should be showing greater results.

Just my 2 cents

Hey venus.. see if they got the one in there where ur gettin chased for someone and ur required to leap down a flight of stairs in slow motion, i used to get that one a lot:(

My ability to dream has been dulled significantly since I became a daily pot smoker. I still get bumbed about that... I used to love my dreams. The other 18 hours of the day that I'm awake make up for it though. ;)

yeah trying to fight people off in dreams and run away... all slow motion

like when you try to scream and it is only a peep.. that sucks too in dreams.

when I was running well in college - I'd always have dreams of running really really slowly - and everyone else going by normal speed. even guys that really sucked that I hated.

it is just a performance anxiety thing.

I like how many people on here dream of fighting - doesn't anyone have sex dreams anymore? with goats?
come on...

Hmmm... could be... :)

Biggdogg it means you have let something get out of hand personally or circumstantially.Perhaps you are trying to escape the past or some unpleasent circumstance.Your emotions are keeping you from reacting properly and giving you the inability to make proper decisions

Never had the one with the punches not registering on the guy, but I have these 2 reoccurring dreams:

-I'm fighting a battle somewhere. My side is winning, and all of a sudden I see one of my guys, a kid that was on my hockey team, come running at me, with the other sides uniform on looking like hes gonna kill me. I shoot him in the chest, he falls face forward, looks up at me with a look of remorse, and dies.

-Its winter, Christmas Eve I think for some reason. Its during WW2 in Europe. I am in a church alone with the exception of a choir singing Ave Maria up front. I sit down somewhere, and read a letter from home [when I wake up I can't remember the writing on it]. I look down at the letter, and just start to cry.

Everytime I have the Church dream it goes on a little longer than before.

K2_Exotech everything applies to you that I wrote to mdd but the dragon symbolizes that you will overcome this and many new talents and abilities await you. It represents eternal change for your life ahead. Here you overcome the bad and become a hero.

By fighting a battle something is bothering you that you are keeping bottle up some kind of circumstance or social issue your.kid wearing the uniform represents a longing to fit in with a specific group or situation. By shooting the kid with a gun it is very impersonal and reveals a source of anger or anxiety you wish to keep at arms lenght. So maybe there is an issue w your hockey team perhaps someone is bothering you has done something or you dont feel comfortable around them perhaps you have different views . But you do not wish to get involved and deal with your feelings ,you would rather keep it bottled up . Maybe it has nothing to do with your hockey team but someone else?

ok i have UBER normal dreams now that i'm on antidepressants... like where i left my channel changer or something. it's really weird.

i usually have crazy creative dreams.

hmm....

i have dreams where the other guy fights back but i get in combop's and counter moves he makes.....either way i havent lost that many times...

i do dream about getting licks in the fight too though. and if i get really pissed then i break out the kame-hame-ha wave and all hell breaks loose ;)

The war as always represents something bottled up that you are feeling guilty for or some social or circumstance that is bothering you. Usually dreaming of holiday's representsa memory from a previous holiday that somehow reflects or effects current situations and depends on your families religion. The church represents sanctuary safety and privacy. A place where you can hide secrets or perhaps someone has betrayed your trust and you are seeking alternative sources in which to place your faith. When you sit down in a church it signifies a personal need for seclusion or security.Crying in the dream while reading the letter shows that you feel some kind of pain regret guilt or sadness

i mentioned that dream in another thread the other day. however last night i kicked some fucking ass in my dream. it was like poltergeist only with my family. the fucking house had the devil in it and he was chasing it. then he turned into a giant eyeball and i was punching him around. i also remember beating the shit out of 2 black dudes. i had another dream with some hot chick. it was a good night of dreams for me. devil dream was kinda scary but at least i kicked ass.
