Anyone been studying the vans?

Found myself with a need for a newer one since my beloved last one suffered a hasty demise at the hands of a 2005 Dodge Durango. At least she took the Durango with her (from what I heard).

Interests:
accident safety rating
gas mileage while still being able to trailer an 18' boat around
longevity/reliabilty...I keep things until they quit or get busted up
being able to put sustantial DJ equipment in it (4+ big speakers, bigger generator etc

Gonelifting? does your orb still have that van for sale?

Can you do some serious towing with a minivan?

I'd suggest an E-350 with a diesel.

i thought this was about the white, unmarked vans that park down your street on a regular basis

Or the white vans in the parking lot at the mall with the dudes selling cheap speakers and car stereos that "fell off the loading dock".

Honda Odyssey is winning easily right now:
good gas mileage with very clean emissions compared to other vans
good safety and reliability ratings
roomy
240 hp engine and large size make it competent for trailering

Be nice to get one get made by Canadian bors. They have pretty good labor there. Less likely to come with government spy equipment built in. yuk, yuk
