Ive got two weeks off and im going to be spending lots of time shredding, not to much is open yet,but a few places have 5-10 runs open, which is good.

anyone else got plans or been yet? if so where

I was gonna pick it up this year again, but after fucking my finger up decided against it. One injury that hinders my weight training a year is enough.

We have sold a shitload of boards and gear already this year at work tho.

ya id definately not want to get hurt,im pretty carefull as if I get hurt I cant work either.

im picking up a lamar slayer this year though,I def need a new stick

I'll be doing some skiing this coming week - hoping this possible North Eastern snow storm shapes up....

bah you dont even notice the cold once your on the hill.

jen,im staying in montreal when im away at work,im really considering taking a trip to jay peak or tremblant over the next month or so,get some back country in while im close by

If I wasn't so damn poor I would go. I'm going in January for a week and that is where all my money is going. I might make a quick trip up to North Carolina for a day.

I used to be a very avid snowboarder, with trips to Vail, Vermont, and more localy Boyne Mnt. and Boyne Highland. After three fractured clavicles and a broken thumb I decieded that I was getting to old for those kind of injuries. I have the problem of always going big though and never holding back. The last time I fractured my clavicle was trying to do a backflip off of a mogul.

I've been up to Breckenridge a couple times already... Once finals are over, I'll be hittin the mountains like crazy, at least until next semester. I usually manage to go up once a weekend when school isn't too crazy.

I love the 5 mountain season passes... ;)

Breckenridge 12/05/05:

Nearly 3 feet of snow in the last week.. (~35 inches)

Taken at Breckenridge today... 12/05/05
Just a little ways off the chairlift and it's fresh powder...

:)

lucky buggers hope your enjoying it,we have a few hills open here but only 5-6 runs so I havent decided if its worth it or not.

jen,I agree on the underarmour cold gear, fricken great stuff, just super expensive

It's SO worth it tho.....beats the jeans I see other people wearing under ski pants....

The guy who pulled in next to me in the parking lot put ski pants over his jeans.....he also was wearing a NE Patriots hat & jacket.....

screw all of you getting good skiing in already :( Im aching to go skiing but schedule plus not having a car at school is making is too hard. I went to Whistler last year for a week and it was the worst snow conditions they've had in the last 30 or so years... go figure. A good buddy of mine and his gf just moved to Banff for the year, they've already got 17 days of power skiing in so far... i hate him now too haha

anyways, big ups to my fellow skiiers, hope you have a good season

sig im right there with ya bro,im on a two week break from work, but once I go back its 7 days a week 8 hrs from home so no time to shred really

LOL... People who wear stuff like that while skiing/snowboarding crack me up, especially when people go skiing/boarding in jeans!!

I've never had to do the underarmour stuff yet... Hell, the only thing I wear under my boardin' pants are my boxers. Those things are so comfortable, it feels like I'm wearing sweats or something. Usually I just wear a t-shirt or light sweater (if it is REALLY cold) under my coat and I'm good. I'm always warm and I hate being weighed down by a bunch of layers... The key is to keep the hands and feet warm... If they get cold, it can ruin a great day of boarding. Always invest some extra cash in good gloves and comfortable boots, thats my advice to anyone looking to get some gear... You can have the best board and everything, but if your feet are uncomfortable.... you will be miserable all day.

:)

i was thinking of going skiing here but it has to snow first.... florida sucks for winter..

not yet.. not too much snow in california yet..

Big trip is January 25th.. Steamboat Colorado.. I might not make it to the mountains until then
