I am a CCNP, did all of the studying myself. I used the Cisco Press books and Lamle's study guides. I ahd a few old routers to play with, but the one DT mentioned looks good. Good Luck.
Even better was I later sold the router simulator for the same amt I paid for it on Ebay; I threw in a book.
I also went thru Cisco Networking Acadmey, only because my co. paid for it. It was a 90% waste of time because I was so far ahead of the rest. I stopped going and passed before it even ended.
Thats what I thought I have 3 years hands on experience, so that should work in my favor. I'm thinking with the Cisco Press CCNA study guide, and a simulator, it should be all I need.
I am using the press book and using Todd Lamle's keystone learning systems software. It's great stuff. Someone told me Keystone was going bankrupt or something?? Maybe thats old news. Anyways.. I took my 1st class exam and made an 899. Have 2 more class finals and then I take the real test.
I took a class they offered at the local college, and read through a study book that kind of just outlined everything. I failed the first time I took it by about 2 questions, but went back 4 days later and smoked it up.
