Anybody Seen the Movie "Basic"?

Haven't seen it yet,but just saw,"Memento"and it's along those same lines.Really good,but sort of hard to figure out.

i tried watching that movie and fell asleep half way through two times. My girl tried explaining the ending to me and it was like listening to a retarded childs discertation on rocket science.
what happened in the end, how did it tie together? didn't samuel jackson's characters, along with the other soldiers, fake his death and that whole incident to flush out the dirty soldier along with the top guy that were smuggling drugs? And John Travolta's character was in on it. That is what I got out of the summary after about 21 questions. I need to rent it and stay awake.

I got that too. But why was that one guy shooting at the dude carrying the fag dude. And then the dude carrying the fag dude killed him right before the rescue copter got there. One more question why was travolta in on it? I mean how did they know the colonel was going to use travolta to interagate the witness.

I thought it was good, I especially liked how they wrapped it up so well. Made perfect sense but very surprising!!!!

i saw it. it was pretty good. must admit, i wasn't expecting that ending.
From what i can remember, it was all staged. They all stole drugs (if i remember correctly) and they were all in on it. The only person who knew about it was the head guy (travoltas old friend) and they didn't want him to spill. So they all made up this giant lie that one of them went crazy and killed everyone but two.. the one who was picked up and the other wounded. The wounded died, and the other one was the one being interigated. Then travolta is talking with the main dude and he pulls a gun on him because he knew travolta was in on it. The chick kills him and travolta runs off... then he picksup the guy who was the only survivor.. and you see in the end no one was really killed... all staged to kill the main guy because he knew about it and to wipe them selves off the planet..

The top guy was in on the drugs and travolta, jackson and the others were the good guys, If you noticed the only ones really killed were the crazy redneck, the gay dude and the top guy, the doctor went to jail. The redneck and the gay dude were the ones selling the drugs for the doctor and helping smuggle in drugs for the top guy. Didnt you hear him telling travolta about him paying him off to keep his mouth shut and that everbody has a price. I think you need to watch it again.
