Anybody have tendonitis before?

Anybody have tendonitis (specifically in the elbow)before?

I think I may have it in my elbow. I've been working out again (speriodically), but I can't do skullcrushers or BTN DB presses without INTENSE pain. I can't even do half the weight I normally do....and what's weird is it's only on those movements, and only in my left elbow. Hurts a little on overhead DB press, but I can work through it w/o lowering weight. Suggestions, comments?

I have had it in both elbows. Forget about the skull crushers, fucking elbow wreakers more like. PLus your probably totally clean for the first time in awhile so joint pain is common. When you get back state side some deca will do the trick.

try to avaid exercises which will hyper extend your elbows.

I thought I had tendonitis in my elbow, and it turned out to be a pinched nerve----something like carpel tunnel syndrome. Apparantly, its pretty common. I was put on Relafen and it cleared it up in about a week. I was pretty pissed at myself for not getting it checked out sooner and going though about 2 months of agony when I did skull crushers, presses, and later even benching.

BPB-I plan on seeing a doc when I can. (I wanted to see if it'll work it's way out on its own...you know how that is..LOL)

Bouncer-yeah, I've been staying away from them...but I can only do like 1 or 2 exercises that specifically hit triceps.

Thanx for your response bro. Maybe I should quit being so damn stubborn....I'll go to the doc as soon as I get the chance.

Left elbow for me... according to what my mother told me when i was born i had a mild case of scholiosis (sp?) My left side develops much smaller than the right (even more so because I am also right handed). There is about a 1 inch difference in my arms and my left elbow tends to devlop tendonitis very easy because of the afforemetnioned condition. Have you tried an elbow brace at all? I had to get a tight one from stromgren... they make good stuff and I only have to use it on certain exercises when mine flares up.

I've had it numerous times and had to give up tennis. There's not much they can do for it except give you a shot of cortisone and tell you to give up whatever's causing it. I tried a chiropractor for a year -- total waste of money --and didn't get much more help from an MD.

It's the reason I added deca into my current cycle. I always wear elbow wraps when I'm working my triceps; they help.

i dont know if this will have anything to do with your problem but my elbows hurt when i do skullcrushers unless a warm up a lot! but somedays i just cant do them because seems like they never warm up a lot..hey man good luck

and are you back in the US yet?

peace

Buck you got tricept tendonitis. I would not bother seeing a doc for it, I went through the same thing a few months ago. I put myself on VIOXX 25mg one time per day and it cleared up in about a week or so. My suggestion is to try some VIOXX, it will take care of any aches and pains you have. Let me know if I can help.

By the way Buck, Do Not let them shoot you with cortisone. We will only inject elderly patients elbows for them because of the damaging effects of cortisone, especially on the insertion of the tricept tendon. That is a very easy way to develope a rupture of the tendon long term, especially with AAS use. Like I said before, just stick with the VIOXX and you should be fine.

oh yes.

tendidnitis took me out of commission for 2 years,

it would heal then I would go back and the flair up would be worst than before.

I kept trying to go back to save what I had worked so hard for, then one day I realized that unless I took some time off I would never go back,

so after a year of beating my self up, I stopped, got sopme cortizone shots, and jsut ran and did cunches for a while, then about a month before I decided to hut the gym again I would start doing pushups every other day, and maybe some pullups to build some endurance in my upper body....then I went back with a new intensity and a new appreciation of what the body is capaable, and more importatntly incapable of.....

good luck
