I've been thinking about getting one and was wanting some opinions...like them??hate them??

what all can they do??

K for answers

I had the Pearl and liked it, but like the Iphone better.

If you get one, get the Curve. Best one out there for real.

I've had one for about a year now. Totally depends on your work and lifestyle. I basically need to be available to my clients 24/7 and they certainly fucking take advantage of that.

The BlackBerry comes down purely to how you use it. My cell phone is a separate phone - on purpose. I don't want to have to carry my bberry around all the time or I'll be doing work every second of every day. If you can learn to put it down at times, you win. Used like this, it's awesome. I can answer emails and get shit done while I am in the car or at the beach, whatever.

However, when people know you have one (and at this point all my clients just assume that everyone has one) they will expect you to answer emails quickly at all hours of the day.

Have it - use it - love how it detaches me from the office.

However, if you are not in it for pure business (and using Outlook) I think the iPhone is a better product.

blackberry is great, I DNR like how they went away from trackwheel though. I also switched to iPhone which is better in all ways except no copy and paste. What kind of moron wouldn't include the most used function on a Internet phone

^^ That's the exact reason I never buy the first release of any new technology. Let the fools (no offense) figure out the bugs, watch em get fixed, but round 2.

Does your speaker phone on your Iphone suck too? I am curious if others have the same problem. The speaker phone is rarely used because you can hardly hear shit on it. This is my one main complaint about the phone.

I have an 8700 but i don't use it as a phone; just email.

I have a 8830. Works in both CDMA and GSM network (factory unblocked) and with my 2gb mini-SD card it also serves as a iPod. it's perfect for me cause I travel a lot so if I go to Spain, I can stick a Telefonica SIM card without any problems. Best of both world. Sound quality and reception is great (Qualcomm chip). I paid $275. Wouldn't change that for a overpriced iPhone...
