Any Wake Boarders here?

I wakeboard whenever I get a chance to hit the ski rixen (cable waterskiing) here in Ft. Lauderdale.. Pulling Raleys on a cable is even easier than on a boat, cut hard and wide at the corners and when you feel the pull from the line max out, throw your legs back as far as you can..

When I learned to wakeboard, about 9 years ago, Darren Shapiro was a regular at the Ski Rixen here in Ft. Laud, apparently he learned to ski on cables instead of a boat.. Shannon Best was the instructor at the time too.. They would always sell their used boards since Hyperlite was always giving them new ones.. Both of these guys are/were wakeboarding pros..

Wakeboarding's fun

Checking in here bro. I have already gone twice this year. And ready for the stupid rain to stop to start hitting it threee times a week. Never done a rail yet but looking to try this summer with getting a invert donwn. Have you flipped yet?

I use to work at a cable water skiing place in college. Got fired for skiing to long on my break. :D

I can land inverts if I lose the handle.. I pay too much attention to passing the handle and body positioning and wind up doing a faceplant into the water or hanging onto the handle as hard as I can and having it ripped out of my hands..

.. If I know it is my last trick and that Im letting go of the handle, I can land the trick more than half the time..

i love to wakeboard and i have been doing it for 3 years. my best friend got me into it. he has done it for about 8 years. he is really good. he plans on going pro in a couple years. my favorite trick that i love to see is the S-bend! that trick is unreal, my friend can do it so rediculously huge that i am in pure awe every time i see it. i really do think that he goes bigger on an s-bend that any pro i have ever seen, he blows my mind being able to do that.

i work at a ski shop so we have demos all the time. and once a year pros get to ride with us aswell. like last year scott byerly rode with us. and this year parks bonifay and some pro hot chick is coming (i think its leslie kent). its sweet watching them. but last time my friend upstaged scott cuz scott was being lazy and didnt ride well.
