Any Printer Experts Here?

Oh shit - I am the man. I convinced my boss to buy us a new printer. woohoo.

We are a 5 Mac + 1 PC-compatible laptop (me) office running on a wireless AppleTalk network. We'll need a printer set up to be wireless and work with both types of systems.

Here is my recommendation. What do you think?

HP DeskJet 6122 Color Inkjet

20ppm b/w, 13ppm color, 5000 sheets monthly volume, 8mb memory.

It's not a wireless printer, so I'd need a print server: LinkSys Wireless Ready USB PrintServer

It says it works with AppleTalk but I don't see MacOS as one of the supported/required operating systems... but we use a Linksys 4-port router for our non-wireless systems so I don't think that will be a problem.

The print server seems to be USB-only, though, so I figure we'll need a USB cable for the printer.

Thoughts?

Mainly that beastgirls PM to me telling me that he wants to sniff Liberaces underwear is a little disturbing.
Im also thinking that I shoulda brought that soup I had to work so I could have a snack.

Call HP and ask them, they have a great support team.

They will be able to answer your ?'s now and when you buy it. For real, their support staff is top notch (IMO).

shh aap... my boss might be reading this.

Hm... looks like every review site I've read says that this is a great printer except for the fact that the ink costs a fuckload and that the text quality is "bad." Then when reviewing another printer it said that text quality was perfect with 3 point font, so who knows if they are claiming that the quality is bad because 3 point font with a magnifying glass was blurry. I'll have to look at test pages to see.
