any picture editing experts here?

I was just wondering can you cut, edit and shape pictures to how you want them to be? I merely ask, because i am thinking of getting someone back for the function of entertainment.

For instance, i have a picture of the guy i wanna get back at posing with a girl, now, can i stick another picture of a girl in 2 replace that one, but make it look realistic?
