Any need to sterilize this?

I orginally posted this on the homebrew board but it doesn't nearly get the traffic so I'm reposting it here.

I just made up a 4g batch of tren. I used the finafarm kit, followed the directions, and everything came out fine. I'm wondering if I need to sterize it in the oven before injecting it. I clearly didn't do this in a labratory...I did it on my coffee table. The conditions were clean, no dust etc, but by no means sterile. What do you guys thing? Do I need to serilize this stuff or am I good to go? If I need to sterize it, how long and what temp? Thanks.

You should filter this at a bare minimum. If you use a .22 filter you should be fine as that is rated for sterility. Lot of guys just use the .45 whatmans and don't have a problem though so that is up to your discretion as well. Filtering is a very important step and once you look at a filter membrane after putting your batch through you will see why.

As far as baking it after you filter there are 2 schools of thought on that. Some guys do it religiously, and some are of the mindset that any matter that would pass through a .22 filter, the concentration of BA in the mixture would combat any contamination problems.

I always bake mine at 250 farenheit to be safe. I bake it for 20 minutes, remove and let cool and then repeat that 2 more times. Be sure to have a 22 guage or so sized needle in it to vent as it heats and the air expands.

I recently made a 10 gram kit and have taken a cc three different times now and have had no problems. All I did was filter it with a whatman filter.
