Any Minnsota bro's out therE?

hey guys, thanks for answering, im in London England right now but im moving to Minn in January. Im interested in finding out about the best gyms in the Mpls area. Also is it easy to get, how should i say, pharmaceutical assistence?

I live in downtown Minneapolis and as far as I know there is only 2 gyms in downtown area: YMCA and Northwest Athletic
I used to workout at YMCA, is not bad but is nothing special and since last month Im working out at Northwest Athletic and is MUCH BETTER! Its inside the Traget Center where the Timberwolf trains and play offcialy.
YMCA its 65$ per month(student) and Northwest Atletic is 45 per month
I never tried to find here "pharmaceutical assistance" cause I always bring with me my cycle and I´ve been very lucky so far at the airports cause nobody stopped me.

I live in the NW suburbs. There are a few good gyms out here. There's The Gym in Plymouth(hardcore, not a fitness club), Bally's in New Hope(fitness club with nice free weight area), Lifetime Fitness in Plymouth(waay over crowded fitness club). Also a Gold's Gym In White Bear Lake. As far as finding local suppliers, very expensive. Youd be better off bringing some with you. Where abouts you gonna be living, what city?

It depends what type of gym you are looking for............

If you are looking for a hardcore gym, there are a few around (Twin city Gym-Power House-The Gym).

If you are more into the healthclub type facility, there is always Bally's and Lifetime Fitness.

I hate Bally's personally.....but you can get a membership there fairly cheap. Lifetime fitness is a little spendy (I think about $45/month) But they have very good equipment......but are crowded during the day.

Thanks for repsonse guys. Im moving into Twin Cities Surburbs, so it sounds like ill have a few options. Thanks for help. I dont think ill bring any gear with me, that would be crazy surely bringing it through an airport!!!

I actually own a gym in the eastern burbs but it's all personal training only (no names on this forum), we do however have a second spot where we do some strongman training if you really want something intense (flip an 800# tire 80 feet!!!)- email me here, or anybody else from the cities for that matter. We're always looking for more people to train with. For those here that have seen the Lumberjack Days Strongman competition in Stillwater, I promote that every year.

Heffe: where u train its close to downtown? Im looking for people that workout hard but people in my university and my roomates dont like to workout heavy!
