Any BMW X5 owners here?!?

Yes, 4.4. I was going with the new 4.8 that they came out with, but they wanted like 70K and I was like WTF!

that 4.8 is pretty fucking sweet though. I like how they make subtle body style changes between the models. the 4.8 looks the pimpest.

Glad you didn't get that V6 though, under 300 horses on an SUV is just not right.

Holy shit, this car *requires* high performance synthetic oil 5W-30/40 @ $6 a quart :o

Appranantly you can drive it 10-15K w/o oiling it up if you drive long distances. 3-5K if you stop/go and under 10miles a day.

When you turn the key to start the car, a mileage amount should pop on the dash. Thats how many miles till your next oil change or inspection which includes an oil change. It counts down from 15,000. So the answer is every 15000 miles

No need for every 3-5k even if stop and go. Its a BMW. Just listen to the count down when you start the car and it'll you'll be fine. oh yea and congrats on the new car, I've never driven any of Suv's but I know BMW's cars do whatever you want them to do, literally the ultimate driving machine. I'm sure the SUVs handle pretty sick especially for SUV's. Make sure you break in the engine, my friend had a 4.6, and my car dipped on it cause he didn't break it in. I have a 328i

When I got my 330ci in colllege i think that was all included

Yea oil changes should be included in the warranty for a BMW. A classmate of mine has one and hers is taken care of by the dealership

Just bought one and was wondering how often you were changing your oil.

If you go by the warning light, the new BMWs and Mercedes have 10,000+ mile oil change intervals. Those cars are equipped with a Bosch oil sensor that measures some quality in the oil, dunno if it's suspended metal particles or viscosity or what, and tells you when the oil needs to be changed. And in normal use, those sensors seem to go off around 10K-12K miles.

BMW doesn't make a V6.

lol

wtf x :mexican:

just follow the instruction on the display nigga. You are a previous BMW driver, the car knows, depending on usage when it needs oil

On the other hand, I have to admit it was not a very subtle say to say "I just bought an X5"

I always put V6 and inline together...V6 for me is universal, which obviously it isn't. Carlito, yes, I also have a 525. Runs well. Now with the NE snow, I can pimp with the SUV, :mexican: style.
