Anxiety (blood pressure?)

I was taking Stacker 2 (low dosage) and lifting like a madman and lost alot of weight rapidly about a year ago. All of a sudden one night I got really dizzy and had to lay down. My heart was racing and I just felt like crap. Everything felt kinda numb and i had liek a buzzing sound in my head. I went to the emergency room and of course they did nothing for me. Just said, "go home and get some rest".
Then for months and months I'd get like small panic attacks (or something) every once in a while accompanied by frequent dizziness. It was a combo of extreme anxiety and dizziness (not neccesarily at the same time). Sometimes I'd be dizzy.. sometimes my heart would race... sometimes I'd just feel "off". When I'd lift I'd get extra lightheaded (like one with a blood pressure problem would feel). This left me thinking it was blood pressure problem. I went to the doctor and ran blood tests and found nothing that unusual. He thought maybe it was vertigo (inner ear problem). I took medicine for vertigo but it didn't really change anything. (I kinda knew that he misdiagnosed me, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway).
The reason that the problem confuses me so much is that my symptoms varied so much. Sometime it was only dizziness, sometimes it just was my heart racing.. then somehow it turned into a feeling of dizziness accompanied by pressure in the head and my ears popping (crackling) from the pressure.

Throughout the year the "panic attacks" went away leaving me only with a feeling of dizziness and just being out of it.
I no longer get the attacks but I find my self in a state of dizziness and being "out of it" now almost 24/7. I really need some advice. Has anyone been through anything like this? What do you think it is? What do you think I should do?

no other recreational stuff.. well drinking alcohol on weekends and alot of vodka redbull. Other than that -- nothing else. If it is a "psychosis problem" - how can something like that be treated? This has me really scared -- I'd appreciate any advise.

you need to see a psychiatrist.

try something like wellbutrin and cut out all stimulants such as caffeine.

I probably will go see a psychiatrist.. but I can't imagine them solving my problem. I feel like I just need a certain drug or something -- not psychological advice. I am pretty sound mentally. I just can't overcoem this diziness crap.

Sounds like you have anxiety problems. You're having panic attacks. If they're bothersome you need to see a shrink and he'll give you some meds that will help.

that's exactly what psychiatrists are for. not to talk about problems but to explain to them your symptoms so they can prescribe a drug.

Don't confuse psychiatrists with psychologists.

If you lived in DC you could see my psych. HE doesn't fuck around. He asks questions and fills out a form.

The psychologist is the one you talk about your mom with.

Now listen but at the same time do not get alarmed as to what I have to tell you!!!! My workout partner had the same, I mean the same exact symptoms as you are talking about. They did a spinal tap and first thought he had MS(muscle wasting disease). I know it sounds scary. ME and all his family were so devistated. My buddy had it so bad that he passed out a few timed in the bathroom.

Well to make a long story short and many MRI'S they discovered that certain protiens in the body and brain got fucked up due to extasy abuse.

The doctors told him that he would fully recover within 6months.

Again I am not trying to scare you but you did want input. Bottom line is go check it out an MRI could discover something.

Good luck E

I agree with Lumberg,
Go see a psychiatrist. I dont think that its related to blood pressure, your symptoms are too broad. You could get lightheaded if your bp was too low. Also if you heart rate was too fast like over 160, but that doesnt sound as if that is your problem b/c they would definitely have noticed that in the er. If its anxiety then you could experience these symptoms and you could get appropriate meds to alleviate this. Also if you drink quite a bit then take something like coffee or ephedrine with 24-48 hours you are at much higher risk for panic attacks. I dont know your situation in relation to youre drinking, but you had mentioned drinking, so try keeping a food and alcohol journal to see if there are any patterns in relation to anything you consume and the symptoms you have.

In response to "elite hot topic"

I actually notice a direct correlation (or at least i think .. might be placebo) to the "bas feeling" acting up and drinking coffee. Did your friend experience this? This is one reason that I think it's an anxiety related disorder rather than what you described.

I had a similiar experience on Monday. I was going to the gym and all of a sudden I got a sharp pain in my left index finger like splinter went into it. I looking at it and couldnt see anything. Got to the gym and started doing some light walking on the tread mill. Then all of sudden I felt unbalance for just a second. But it shocked me. My heart started racing and then I started to feel more light headed. I took some deep breath to try to relax. I got off the tread mill and just waited around for awhile. Felt a few more of the small attacks. I left but was a little worried about driving. When I got home I continued to feel the sensation where it scared me for about 3 hours. After that I still felt something but it was more of a tired feeling.

I went to the doctors the next day because I still felt like something was wrong the next morning. But I wondered if it was just my imagination. Everything checked I fine and they wrote it off as my supplements I took on a empty stomach. I tended to agree but today I still feel that something is wrong. A slight unbalanced feeling.

The possiblities that may be causing it:

- ECA type supplements. Don't think this was it because I have been taking only about 1 a day (usually in the early morning) and when symptoms appeared it was late afternoon.

- clen took 3 tabs that day. Had already did one week build up to about 4-5 tabs. The day before I had none. I don't seem to have any problems with the clen. I don't really feel it but I can tell it is working because my fingers will shake.

- armidex 1/4 mg ed. with a few days of here and there. This and the other items have only been started in the last two weeks.

- ox - 5mg - 3 times a day.

- ALC and N-acetyl-tyrosine. Took some on other occassions but took a couple of grams of ALC and 1 gram of NAT 1 hour before the symptoms started. So, the Dr. as well as my self was leaning towards that. I had never taken a dose that strong on a empty stomach, together.

I stopped taking the ECA and clen. Since I still felt weird today, I stopping the armidex. I will keep the ox and if I still feel weird then I will drop that.

It could be one of these or something simple like a mild stroke.
