Antonio Tarver vs Bernard Hopkins PPV Tonight!

Delinquent

Well-known member
Still unsure about the outcome of this fight. Tarver looked good during an interview on ESPN wednesday night fights despite the massive weight loss. He's looking for respect but it's hard to give him that considering he beat Jones at the end of his career and if he beats Hopkins, it'll be the same thing. Unfortunately, Tarver is on top in a time where there aren't many to really challenge him thus the lack of respect.

If hopkins wins, he'll secure his place in history and retire on top like he should. Even though a lot of his fights have been a little boring over the years, he has always stuck to his guns and done what it takes to win, even if that means it's not an exciting fight. He's come from boxing in prison to one of the most dominant middleweights in history.

Hopefully it'll be an exciting fight.

Thats who I have my money on...

By unanimous decision (118-109 three times on the official judges' scorecards), Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins becomes the new light heavyweight champion.

Thats great news!!

Give it up for Arkansas!!

It was fucking awesome. One thing I'm torn on is if hopkins really fought that much better in this fight than the taylor fights or was tarver really that gassed from coming down in weight. Tarver fought like he was gassed from the very first round. Hopkins though, was NEVER hurt by any of tarvers shots. As Emmanuel Steward and even hopkins were saying, he should have been fighting at light heavy for the last 5 years. If he would have stepped up during the heyday of jones jr, THAT would have been some epic fighting. Good for hopkins

I didn't think Hopkins would come close to beating Tarver.
Tarver looked slow and sluggish from the start and never got going. His jabs looked pitiful.
Hopkins looked great,he was way to quick for Tarver.
