It can be an inflamation like when your nipples get sore.

more specifically....i pulled a groin muscle

and the doc prescribed for me Viox....which is an anti-inflamtory....Viox is the bomb...I was lifting again within a couple of days...now when it flares up...i pop a couple of Viox and keep on lifting.....

But you definitely want to stay close to the crapper......:mix:

so know i know its just not for one purpose...do you think it would benifit old injuries?like elbow or lats or something else?anybody?

jerky..

Yes it would work for old injuries if theyre inflamed.

Im lost on what the question is here? Do u want to know what anti-inflamatories are? Is so they are a class of drug that are intended to reduce the swelling and inflamation of joints, etc. Motrin is an example. There are also some carticol steriods that act as anti-inflamitories.

Inflamation is the bodies way of getting additional blood flow to areas to promote healing. Taking antienflamatories while making you feel better also stop or greatly reduce the healing process. I took naproxin and a couple weeks off for a tendonitis. Felt great, but a week after being in the gym all the pain was back. I am now undergoing prolotherapy( can find more about it at prolotherapy.com) and its improving.

I too was given Vioxx, for tendinitis. I found it keeps down the swelling and pain, however I would seriously recommended seeing a physiotherapist and get that shit straightened out. If your doctor is anything like mine, rehabilitation is seen as a waste of time and unproven. He prefer to hand out scripts. You dont want a bum tendon for the rest of your life, and having to depend on Vioxx or other anti-I's like I did. I found after the stretching techniques, heat, massage, and ultrasound treatments the pain I went thru for 3 months was gone after only a couple short weeks at the physiotherapists! Just addind my 2c from my experiences.

I also kept working out the entire time still, just avoided one arm and used lighter weight. It was in the right bicep.

anti inflammmatory from the sounds of it, is not the route i'm gonna go.i have no kind of puffy nipples or inflammed joints.it's other kind crap.thanks for the info..
