I love how government makes such claims about "losing 'x' millions of dollars" in revenue. The whole premise is based on the concept that government has a "right" to this money, that it is actually theirs.

I don't find L.A. traffic to be any worse than Atlanta, unless you're going to/from the valley. 405/110 in the South Bay is a breeze most times.

you have 30 days to register an out of state vehicle here...10 days for driver license change info....they can send tickets for those violations in the mail...fuck um...the chp and other local law enforcement already work for the insurance companies, thats where our seat belt laws come from and the helmet laws....cops dont give a fuck if you fly thru your windshield or spread your brains across the roadway- the insurance companies do, and they lobbied for the law to pass...the state/ cities get revenue for it, and insurance companies say it keeps major injury claims down which is supposed to help our rates..BULLSHIT. those sites to report vehicles wont last long, they will be abused and after the state spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure that out, they will stop...

What happens is now, more drivers are SCREECHING their cars in the middle of intersections to prevent touching that line with a red light (if you enter on a yellow, and it turns red when you exit, you STILL get a ticket).

Anyone remember the post i did a couple months ago about how the city was CAUGHT red-handed giving parking tickets to cars, where the sign was almost inlegible and completely faded out. They made $8 million a year they estimate from ticketing cars where the parking signs weren't even there or faded out or even wrong.
