can you usually spot an american on vacation in your area? do we honestly stand out from the rest of you?

i was reminiscing on my visits to toronto, and it just got me thinking...thinking how fucking rude some of you can be.

no, i don't realize a difference but you guys like to introduce yourselves as americans not by your first name...

during winter no. I can't, unless you go to a bar/strip club. But during summer time, hell yes. Most of them are either dressed pathetic or just acting like a bunch of dead drunk frat morons.

when i was in toronto, i was in some underground mall doing some shopping and whatnot. well, i came across some knife store and decided to check it out. after looking around for a few minutes, i went up to the clerk and asked, 'exuse me, where do you guys keep the switch blades?' he got this really weirded out look and was like, 'ummm...we dont sell them. uh, they're illegal here.'

but some of you are just plain fucking rude. there were several times when i got lost, and when i would ask people where the hell i was, they would just give me a dirty look and walk past me. i was always polite too..boy, how i wanted to fucking choke them.

Not really except for older males who really like to wear BRIGHT red shorts and knee high white socks.

& if they're from the Southern U.S., or North East (Boston, New York etc...), then it's obvious when they speak.

Oh yeah. American women can be rather loud & a bit obnoxious when they've had a couple of drinks.

That's just big city personality. Same as you would find in Detroit, NY, Philly, Boston...

I've been to montreal and the people were great...well most of them were probbly not Canadian anyways. I think that the people up there are more lyed back and it seems like they are rude. But yeah if you ask for help or directions they ignore you but that happens right here in New York also.
