hey man whats goin on, i know i ask you a lot of questions but you are huge and natural and that is what i aspire to be..anyways..what does your bulking diet look like, and how much pro, cal, carb, fat do you eat...thanks a lot man

peace

haha of course you can buck go for it bro, im sorry i left you out :(...give your bulking diet...i need to gain 20lbs by end of febuary), thanks bro

peace

Not 100% sure, but I believe Havoc eats a set diet, and increases his muscle mass mainly by improvement in his lifts...could be wrong though, but I don't think he really 'bulks up.'

Justin, Frackal is on the money, I have a set diet that I have not deviated from for a long long time now, I just slowly make gains in strength, size, density, muscle maturity and shape. I have never been over 8% and I am currently 5.5% at 235 lbs.
My diet is this:

Meal 1- chicken breast, 2 eggs, toast, pear
Meal 2- chicken breast, beans and rice, handful of almonds, scoop of whey protein
Meal 3- same
Meal 4- same
Meal 5- protein shake after workout
Meal 6- steak, piece of fruit and a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich.
Meal 7- chicken breast with a scoop of peanut butter
Meal 8- chicken breast, 2 eggs, toast.

Sometimes I will add or take away the peanut butter intake, I dont like being over 6-7% bodyfat so I really dont BULK up, its sort of a waste in my opinion, people say you are stronger when you are 15-20 pounds over your usual weight, I disagree, its not like that for me, I'm strong at whatever weight.

Protein for the day- easy 400 grams
Carbs- have no idea, dont care(metabolism is faster than shit)
Calories- have no idea , dont care
Fat- dont know, most of it is poly and mono though, not much saturated at all.

well i have a few other questions for ya havoc..

first off were you real skinny as a kid and had a real fat metabolism, becuase i am soo fucking skinny i have a 27 inch waist and i have somewhat wide shoulders, when i was in 9th grade i was 98 pounds and now i am starting senior year at 141 pounds and i want to get to 160 before febuary first then cut down...cutting wont be hard for me at all...i too have a low bf and the highest i was at was about 8% guessing...so im figuring we have similar body types (obviously im younger) and i think im more of a hard gainer than you.... (what do you thnk yuo weighted in at these ages (about)? and were you training??

when do u have time to cook all of this chicken..well i guess that you live in texas it is always nice out but i live in NY so it gets cold and its a pain to cook chicken all day long..thanks a lot man and im sure ill have some more questions that i forgot to ask...

thanks bro

Graduated High School at 150 lbs, another reason why the muscle I have looks 20lbs heavier than what I am is because I have small ass bird joints with muscle on them creating an even bigger illusion. Wrists are small, ankles are small. My waist right now is right under 28 inches on 30 inch quads with a weight of 235 looking hella symmetrical. About the chicken, I prepare it the night before in the oven, takes about an hour and a half and all my shit is done for the next day, really not a big deal at all. peace Justin

bump this is good advice

Havoc do you do any cardio?

Ive always thought about trying the set diet method, but people always talk me out of it

I was naturally skinny too, you could rake up the leaves with my body when I was at school

I am bulking now and at 10%, its the fattest Ive been in my life

I think Iwill give the set diet a go

Do you pick a setpoint in terms of weight and when you get there just eat to maintain and lower bodyfat?

I'm talking about before you were 235lbs

Cheers man

Havoc, do you still wear a pink Teletubby shirt to gym w/ fluffy bunny slippers? I do. They give a great kick for leg day :)

j/k. You're an inspiration, man!

Big Bazooka, lately all I wear is my hot pink weight belt, a pager and my class ring to work out in, I feel free and chipper.

Liberator, Its like this, as a natural bodybuilder your first 1-3 years is where your foundation will be built and you will see the greatest size and strength increases, sure you will see them after that period but not in the high speed fashion that you did when you were a novice, of course thats because you have just shown your body some crazy shit and the response is like "fuck yeah". Again, bulking diets are a waste if your going to become a fat ass, that does nothing for you whatsoever except get you fat, the myth that your stronger and putting on muscle is easier or faster is ridiculous, its all in the mind. The only thing you gain on a bulking diet is extra fat. Now the same goes for a dieting down diet as well, when your getting lean your not doing anything for size or strength and basically starving yourself of necessary nutrients that are a must in certain portions(like Saturated fat for example). I say fluctuate between 6-10% bodyfat, dont go higher, dont go lower, only reason to diet down is if your doing a show, I made the decision this morning for example to bump up my fat for a while, not to bulk up but to get to at least 6.5% bodyfat, currently I'm a little to lean and risking injury due to the weight I lift. I woke up this morning to find veins popping out of my knee caps and serratus meaning that I need some fat because that shit looks disgusting.

You asked do I make a goal as far as weight is concerned. Earlier I did this, for example when I was 185 I thought it would be the shit if I could hit 200, when I did I wanted to be 210, then 220, etc etc, thats a good way to approach it but be aware that its going to get harder and harder to get heavier. Never base your gains on just size and strength though, there are other things as well(muscle maturity, shape, definition, denstiy). I know a guy who is a natural champion weighing in at 180-185 and looks like he is 210 because of all the components that make up a physique, he is almost 40, looking insane.

Give the set diet a try, when I say give it a try I mean do it for like 6 months, you wont regret it, you will know exactly what to eat, when to eat it, exact times of the day you will take a shit, its beautiful, also with a set diet you will learn what to add or take away whenever you want to look a little leaner or more fuller, you will see what I'm talking about, its good shit bro. Hope this helps, next time I wont be so brief(I just wrote a fucking novel)peace

Veins in kneecaps? That's crazy! Lol. So havoc, are you planning to compete?

Your pics still impress the shit out of me. It seems that your mind is set for bodybuilding. Lately i've been thinking NOT to compete ever. I might have some potential, but still last weekend with a new girl put my priorities on life in different order.

It's hard to decide. To compete or not to compete: which decision i'll regret more in 10 years? That's a thinker for me. But last weekend it was great to find out, that there was more in life than bodybuilding :)

You give out some excellent advice man, thanks for taking time out to write all that

The set diet is something that always confused me, I always thought why bother bulking up and then cutting when you could just pick a specific weight you want to hit without crossing a specific bodyfat percentage and then eat to maintain this weight and lose bodyfat, drop to say 7% or whatever and do this all over again, but as I said, people always told me it wouldnt work. Sure it takes longer.

I will give it a try, I know if I cut my calories I will lose strength and probably muscle size and also feel like shit, I am not going to ever do any shows, so therefore there seems no logical point in bulking and cutting.

Thanks, youve given me the answer I have been looking for.

BUT, do you do any cardio or is it not necessary to lose fat, I.e to get down to 6% as you said?

Big Bazooka, will I ever compete? Weird that you asked this because I was talking about this shit yesterday with some friends.

The answer right now is No! Why? For what? A trophy, there is no money in it whatsoever, even the top 5 bodybuilders in the world arent banking, also the amount of gear it takes to maintain a physique like Coleman and the others is ridiculous and a huge risk, fuck that. The main reason is this though: I'm not going to stand on a stage and have 7-8 judges that couldnt come close to any of my bodyparts whatsoever fucking tell me how I look or what I need to improve on, fuck them, they can suck a dick, politics is widespread in bodybuilding and I'm not fucking with it for now.

Liberator- sorry I forgot about the cardio, no I personally dont do any cardio except play alot of basketball which is actually extreme fun for me, to be honest, I wouldnt really cut your calories brother, I would increase your protein, keep the calories the same but decrease the fat, junk food, fast food, shit like that, if you are going to have fat, have nuts, olive oil, peanut butter, if your going to eat a steak, eat a ribeye, leave the fat on and enjoy it, no fried foods either. peace

Havoc, what you said about competing makes so fucking sense! I mean, maybe this sport will lose it's meaning if i start doing it for anyone else but myself. My goals sure has changed in the last 2 months.

Writing this shit actually clears my thoughts :)

I agree, I was speaking with some folks yesterday and it helped alot. Just doesnt make sense to put your body through that dieting process for a trophy, if cash is involved its basically enough to go to the movies by yourself, pathetic amounts they are giving these days. Also, doing a show takes everything out of you and also effects many people that are close to you, just not worth it. peace brother

thanks for the info havoc, you are the man, post some updated pics if u get a shot..my genetix are similair to yours were in high school..i am a crazy hard gainer but i am lean as hell so i look bigger,

thanks bro
peace
