Another hairloss question..

I've read about every post on this board regarding hairloss and have never seen this question asked/answered..

I understand that gear can speed up the process of MPB and without the genes, gear in itself does't cause baldness. But, if roids can speed up the process of hairloss, how long does this process last? For example, in a hypothetical situation, let's say you are losing hair at a rate of 10% naturally(no special meaning to this number) and while on the gear, the hairloss is increased to, let's just say 20%. Now, after you come off the gear, would your hairloss go back to the 10% rate or would the hairloss rate stay accelerated from the end of the cycle on.. i.e. would the rate at which you started losing your hair on 'roids stay at the same rate off roids or would your rate go back to it's old rate of fallout?

I hope I didn't make this post too confusing.. help please and thanks in advanced.

The majority of hair loss on AS is due to the aromatization of the drug, so after stopping, your body should re-adjust to its original level. You also might consider propecia while on your cycle, and it should stop the hair loss altogether, by hindering the estrogen production.

A note about propecia: if you are normally losing your hair, and you take propecia for, say, 10 years, it should stop the loss (in the majority of patients). The hell of it is that once you start, you are married to the drug, because when you stop in 10 years, you will then rapidly (over about a year) lose all the hair that you would have lost naturally if you hadn't been on the drug.

Another idea: if you decide to get propecia through a script, ask the doc to prescribe proscar instead. It's the same drug (5mg per tab instead of 1mg), and you quarter the pill with a pill splitter. You'll save a ton of money this way, because proscar is alot cheaper than propecia. If benign prostatic hypertophy runs in your family, propecia may also reduce the chances of this occurring due to AS usage.

No problem at all. Shoot me a note if you have more questions (Not that I'll necessarily know the answers, but I'll tell you if I don't)

propecia

not being a dick, but I thought propecia blocked DHT not estrogen, I think propecia can actually elevate estrogen slightly.

Sorry buddy, but aromatisation has nothing to do with accelerating MPB. It's the androgenic properties of a steroid that exacerbate hair loss.

Thanks for the correction - I'm not trying to sling bad advice or put on like I know something if I don't. I'll re-check my references and get back.

My Bad

B182 and FISHTALES are right. I rechecked the PDR, and should have written "DHT" instead of "estrogen". If you want more info, go to merck.com, look up their us products and enter as a medical provider. They lay out the entire mechanism through which it works. The rest of my original post is actually correct though, in spite of this boneheaded fuck up. Sorry for the bad info.

well, my cycle I'm about to start will probably be deca 300mg/wk and sus250 about every 9 days for a 10 week cycle. I'm interested in 10-15 lbs., no hair loss, no deca dick (hence the low dose test). How does this look to you guys and what can I take while on deca to combat the hairloss? I know I can't take finasteride or saw palmetto (according to Stew). Thanks again fellas.

Since you are using 250mg of test and 300mg of deca don't use finasteride, try with some topical lotion like Aloxidil or something maybe better.

But let me tell you that if you think to bump for example to 500mg susta and 300mg deca, you should use finasteride because baldness from 500mg of sustanon is really harsher than the one from 300mg of deca not converted to DHN.

should sus250 every 9-10 days be enough to prevent the deca dick though?? By the way, thanks to all of you.

If I recall correctly, deca reacts with the proscar and it actually makes you lose hair quicker. But I think that is only with nandralone, not others. Another reason to hate deca.
