has anyone used this software for surfing and does it completely block your info, IP addy etc

if not whets out there that does 100%. Most say they block your IP addy but truly don't?

The most common way to hide your ip address is to use an anonymous proxy server. keep in mind tho, that most of these proxy servers and especially your isp keep logs of all connections and traffic. therefore, if someone really wanted to track you down, it is very possible. depending on why you feel you need your ip address hidden, there are several options. One easy way is to keep internet tracks to a minimum is to use a public computer at a local university or at the library. There are other ways I am sure that work very well, prolly connecting to multiple anon proxies that dont keep records or something, but prolly more hassle that it is worth, unless you are doing something you REALLY dont want to leave tracks doing, then you prolly should do a lot more research about this. doubt you will find the answer on this board anyway.

Anonymous browser software works pretty well to block information that a website collects but keep in mind there are many websites that you won't be able to use if you have this software running. When I write a website I have to know what browser you're looking at it with so I know which programming and code you'll see. Many sites have several versions of themselves and your browser version directs you to the right one. If they don't have this info they can't do that.
If you want to use an online store or any one of several discussion boards the software won't let you on the site if it can't see your IP address.
