Androgel dosage question

Hey guys, I have never used a gel but have access to it right now. I am wondering what this means:
Androgel: 1%. 30 Unit dose packets. contains 5 grams per unit dose

Can someone break this down for me? I know all about injecting but have no idea what to expect from a gel.
I know we cannot talk about money here either but I need to know what a fair price for it would be. Can someone refer me?

You'll maybe, if you take the whole bottle, have a slight increase in libido, otherwise 1% is virtually worthless. Sorry bro, but you need at least 10-15% of Derma Test at 100mg/Gram of the Gel (applied 4 times daily) for it to give some decent libido boost and that is about all you'll get. It goes for about $50-$60 per 50 Gram bottle of the 10-15% Gel.

Hmm. That's odd because the guy I know who is on it has a great body and this is what he uses- he is HIV POz, and it is prescribed to him.
