anabolics pre-surgery?

i know medications like primobolan and deca durabolin are given to some post-surgery patients, but would it make sense to frontload, say deca or primo, a week before surgery to induce an anabolic state goin into surgery?

satch bro i would not do this and here's why: if you're talking about major surgery an anesthesiologist will be essentially making sure nothing happens to you while in that quasi-comatose state. he will be giving you some medications to get you into that state. that is why they always sit down with pre-op patients before hand and ask you EVERYTHING you've taken recently, or are currently taking. this is nothing to mess around with brother. something like test would be pretty benign imo, so i would be careful to draw the same conclusion for what you had in mind. all the best bro.

well..

a close relative is gonna have surgery to remove some scar tissue from his elbow.

the docs say the surgery will sideline him for a month or so.
so we were thinkin that perhaps the use of anabolic pre and post would speed recovery.

i really think the unknowns for using it pre-surgery outweigh any *possible* benefits of doing this. waiting and loading up post surgery imo is the only comfortable and sure way of doing it. it just isn't worth the risk imo.

I know that several people have started GH a few weeks pre op and continued it through recovery with great success. Though I dont have the medical knowledge to make recomendations, maybe someone else could chime in on it.

well its a bit of an overkill thing to do really

what you want is a good anabolic and immune state during recovery. the lead up doesnt matter

some anabolics need time to kick in, so youd need to start them pre op

if something goes wrong though, you might find yourself in a catabolic state during recovery (recovery really takes about 10 weeks overall for proper tissue bonding...some people can take 6 months...depends on teh site, person, the cut bla bla bla)

not a huge need to do it, dont see why youre so concerned. is it really worth the drama to heal that little bit faster? if it was cutting a 2 month recovery down to 2 weeks then i see your point but its more like getting a 7 week recovery down to 5...if that

anyway, good luck

just put him on a fast acting juice after the surgery. Makes no sense to get the drugs flowing before he goes under the knife, especially if there is a hazard potential.

what potential hazard is possible?

prob none!!! But Im telling you the truth. I went to one of the best plastic surgeons in South Florida and he and the endo both said test is fine up to the Opperation.
