suprisingly I came down with shingles back in February of 96'. The dermitologist I went to said it could have been due in part to my use of steroids. It was a pretty freaky illness. I first thought there was something wrong when my strength was rapidly deteriorating. Shingles cluster in one area at nerve endings unlike chicken pox where your whole body can be covered. Another thing is shingles is extremely rare in people under 50yrs of age. I was 22 when I had them.
