An idea I have

I have sort of copied it, but whatever.

Over here you can drink till 2am at bars, now there is a service in another big city I used to live in that delivered booze 24/7, so a group of people get home at 2:30am, decide they want to carry on boozing, so ring you up to buy some highly marked-up booze.

I would stock stuff like cigarettes, tobacco, cigars, chips, candy, pringles etc.

I actually really think this is a good idea, a little impractical for me at the moment, but could be a good one for the future.

I definitely see how it could work, people drunk late at night don't care what it costs to keep the party going :)

A college kid got up to $1 million/year in sales delivering mcdonald's & other fast foods who didn't offer delivery to dorm rooms after hours

There are services like that already where I live. But they are not everywhere. I think the one around here is called Dr. Delivery.

I can't imagine being able to sell liquor without a license.....

oh yeah you need a license, but other people have them, so I should be able to get one

U could give kickbacks to party supply places if they refer their customers on to you ie. give party hire places business cards with 10% off or whatever to give to their customers and give the place a percentage when someone uses the cards.

You'd probably have to carry a few 8-balls if you're going to be delivering booze that late to people on a bender. People would probably pay up to $300 per if they could get service like that. Hmmmmm

I definitely couldn't see this happening in Canada, but aside from that I see a few problems. For one you, or you employees would be at a high risk of being robbed and potentially killed. I used to be a cigarete salesman and we had that same risk and as a result we stopped carrying stock. And this was during the day, nevermind at night when everyone is smashed and looking for trouble. Also, in order to maximize efficiencies, by going on milk runs and delivering to many places at once, you would have to carry a lot of stock.

Aside from that, you would benefit society by preventing drunk drivers from getting in potentially fatal accidents. Provide a beneficial service to people who do not have transportation or to business such as catering who have estimated wrong and need an emergency delivery.

A lot to consider, but if you can do it and believe it will work then do it!

Check the laws of your city/state. Here in cali -- no way in hell can you sell any type of booze past 2am. No way around it.

On top of that major obstacle, these types of startups tend to not work out. I live in a college town(a big one) , I have heard of many of these places folding over the years. These places didn't only deliver booze/cigs, they did anything, food, porn, anything you can buy at a given time.

This is where "contacts" come in

acquiring licenses is usually not about what you know or who you are, but who you know
